About
Little Angels Children’s Folk Ballet, or The Little Angels, is a South Korean children’s folk ballet and choir troupe. Comprising children aged between 7 and 15, the group was led by renowned choreographer Shin Soon Shim, celebrated as Korea’s most outstanding dancer in 1962.
Formed in 1962, the Little Angels were conceived as cultural ambassadors of goodwill, dedicated to promoting South Korea’s image abroad through traditional dance, music, and performance. Their 1974 overseas tour spanned 3.5 months and included visits to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe—a northern route that reflected the group’s growing reputation on the global stage.
