About

In the 1970s, the auditorium at the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS) Building, known as the DBS Auditorium, hosted small-scale performances and events. Completed in 1975 and designed by Architects Team 3, the 50-storey tower featured a distinctive three-section design with a podium base. With the bank’s relocation, the DBS Arts Centre, a 383-seat venue, opened on Merbau Street off Robertson Quay in 2001, providing a home for the Singapore Repertory Theatre.
