“WHEN A SEOUL SONGBIRD KICKS OFF THE SHOW – The shows at Neptune Theatre Restaurant go off with a bang every night now that they have Gloria Bang. And, as if that’s not enough, there is always Jenny Tsai to add zing to every performance. These two songbirds came south to Singapore, one to fulfil an ambition and the other to realise it… For Jenny Hsai, 19, coming here was to fulfil her ambition of performing in the Neptune Theatre Restaurant, billed as ‘the grandest theatre in South-east Asia.’ A native of Taipei, she was discovered during a talent contest held by the Opera Theatre in that city two years ago, when she was still a high school student.” [The Straits Times, June 18, 1975, 6]
