“The Hollies – on a Far East tour – played at the National Theatre last night. They will give a final performance this evening. They arrived from Jakarta, looking tired after a performance on Sunday night. The Hollies are one of the top British pop groups. They rose to fame in 1963 with a song called ‘Ain’t That Just Like Me.’ Group members are Allan Clarke (lead vocalist), Tony Hicks (lead guitar & vocalist), Terry Sylvester (rhythm guitar), Bernie Calvert (bass guitar, piano & organ), and Bobby Elliott (drums). The Hollies will leave tomorrow for Kuala Lumpur, before going to Bangkok and Hong Kong.” [Eastern Sun, February 16, 1971]
Previously in Jakarta. Appeared in Singapore at the National Theatre [15–16 Feb. 1971]. Left Singapore for Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.
