Troupe organised by Maurice Pardo, who had previously been with Warren’s Circus. They visited Singapore in 1905.
“At the Alexandra Theatre Hall in North Bridge Road, an entertainment is to be given tomorrow by Mr. Maurice Pardo and his troupe, who were formerly with Warren’s Circus. The Company is one of illusionists, acrobats, trick cyclists and various similar items…” [Straits Times, April 1, 1905, p. 4]
For A Short Season – PARDO’S CIRQUE VARIETIE – Beach Road, by Middle Road – Grand Opening Tonight and following evenings, Sundays included – Performances full of high class novelties, cycling, juggling, comedy, acrobats, gymnasts, full stage illusions, pantomimes, ball punching and boxing bouts… The only entertainment of its kind in the East, introducing the celebrated Odrap Family, Jack McAuliffe, Artie Tully, the wonderful Scotch midgets, the Manila Boys, Maurice and Celia Pardo and others. Appeared in Singapore at the Alexandra Theatre Hall in North Bridge Road on 2 April 1905.
Later moved to Beach Road, by Middle Road on 15 April 1905 and for the few days following.
