廣福居劇團演劇籌助禮佛大學及華僑中學
About
Guangfuju Troupe (Penang) arrived in Singapore sometime in May 1920. The tour aimed to raise funds for Li Fou Da Xue (礼佛大学校) and the Overseas Chinese Middle School (present day: Hwa Chong Institution). Over the course of six days, they performed near the clock tower of Victoria Theatre. On their way back to Penang, they stopped over at Malacca to be part of a series of charity performances over three days.
