Mr. Peter Albrecht has joined the Royal Air Force since his arrival home, and is training at the Central Aviation School, Marlborough, Wilts. [Pinang Gazette, 4 January 1940, p.5]

P.O. PETER ALBRECHT SAFE – Pilot Officer Peter Albrecht, who was reported missing, is now safe, according to a cable received recently from England. He is the son of Mrs. Ida Albrecht of Singapore. [Straits Times, 15 December 1941, p.8]

Singapore (Adelphi Hotel/Sea View Hotel) [29 July 1935] – Jimmy & Peter Albrecht & Dolly of the Spotlight Revue

SPOTLIGHT REVUE – The appearance of several of the artistes from the Spotlight Revue made Saturday night’s dance on the Adelphi Hotel roof garden particularly enjoyable. Those who had not previously seen that clever young pair of dancers, Leonie and Peter Albrecht, were surprised at the talent they displayed and the show was voted a great success. With most of the numbers a chorus of very charming Spotlights was provided by Lulu Brisk, Truus Bacon, Adelaide Dean, Rosalind Landau, Daphne Leister, Dorothy Maples, Hilda Masters, Lydia Schrieber, Purdie Wilson. and Molly Walker… The Spotlights will appear again at the dinner dance at Seaview Hotel on Saturday, Sept. 7. [Malaya Tribune, 29 July 1935, p.14]

Although this was not the first performance of the Spotlight Revue in Singapore, the roof garden ballroom of the Adelphi was filled with a gay and happy crowd when members of the Revue gave specially picked turns at the cabaret there on Saturday. I must confess that I had not seen them before, but once having done so I do not wonder at the attendance. “Jimmie” Albrecht must be Monday’s child, for she is certainly full of grace. Her brother Peter, besides partnering her in many of her dances, contributed items of his own, dancing with efficiency and a stage manner that belled his youthfulness. [Sunday Tribune, 4 August 1935, p.8]

Singapore (Adelphi Hotel/Sea View Hotel) [4-9 November 1935] – Jimmy & Peter Albrecht & Dolly of the Spotlight Revue

Two brave and enterprising young people in Singapore started an amateur revue company several months ago and have been so successful that they have in the last week been appearing professionally at the Sea View and the Adelphi. Their ambition is to first tour Java and India and then – who knows where the wings of their success may carry them! They are Jim and Peter Albrecht. Jim started dancing when she was three, and carried with it, making special studies of ballet and Grecian dancing, the technique of which, although she does not employ it in her numbers, have been a valuable foundation, when she was at school in London. Since her return, she has worked with Mrs. Alford in several of her revues, but the work she has done on her own is really outstanding for one so young. Their repertoire is very wide, for they include dances of many countries. From the sixteenth they will be giving farewell performances at the New World, for they are going up to live in Ipoh where their family have moved, and Penang and Ipoh audiences will be able to enjoy their entertainment. Meanwhile they continue to appear nightly, alternating between the Adelphi the Sea View. [Sunday Tribune, 10 November 1935, p.8]
